It is a very old hotel. The whole property either gets warm air or cold air. Unfortunately, the hotel staff decided they were chilly and the entire hotel was set to heat. The hotel has AC but the entire hotel either gets AC or heat. If you are either hot or cold and not in the populous, prepare to be uncomfortable.

Our room was very spacious, clean and decorated very nicely. The Breakfast was very good. We were given several choices how we would like our eggs prepared. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Pool area was great. Everything in the house is beautiful. The property is managed by the son of the owner. It used to be the primary family home. Now it feels like a cross between luxurious B&B and luxurious hotel. Secured parking was nice.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The informal and welcoming atmosphere was nice. All the staff were particularly pleasant and helpful. The dinner was wonderful, especially our conversation with Luis, who helped us understand a lot about the region's wine industry from a grower and winemaker's perspective. (Also, the 2022 Vinho Branco Grande Reserva is amazing!) We will be back!

Great view. Amazing fragrance from the orange trees.
We loved the welcome and helpful staff. The room we had and views were excellent. we were able to extend our stay to go on a riverboat and steam train as well as visit Pocinho. The wine bar opposite the Museum was excellent and the Museum well worth a visit.

The Douro Valley is beautiful. Our stay was too short.
The Douro Valley is beautiful. Our stay was too short. The big thing I would encourage travelers to do is to make reservations and tour plans prior to visit. Wineries are often booked for bigger tours and not accepting drop ins.

We loved our stay. The family and staff are amazing! I can't emphasize how welcome we felt. The dinner was delicious and the port/wine parings lovely. They also arranged taxis for us on two occasions. Would love to come back.

Very friendly welcome but took a few minutes to gain access to the property. It was a 25 minute walk to the station but taxis readily available and affordable. Close to supermarkets.
Tio Manel restaurant in Regua was excellent - in terms of food quality, service and pricing.
Boat trips from Quayside to Pinhao and from there to a selection of Quintas. The Croft tour and tasting was very good - informative and good value for money.

It was the height of the tourist season (middle of August) and there was also a public holiday. The town was very busy and put quite a strain on restaurants and bars. Previous visits have been off season and the town copes a lot better, providing a more relaxed experience.
Amazing hotel and area with friendly staff. Spa was perfect and included in the stay with the jacuzzi having a great view in front of the orange tree garden. Pool area is amazing and highly recommended to spend some time there. We also had an amazing experience with the wine tasting and a super friendly guide. Overall, I would definately recommend a stay (and preferably more than 1 night) at this hotel. Thank you for an amazing stay.
Stunning main house, thoughtfully appointed guest accommodation. There are particularly beautiful views around, mountains, vineyards, the sound of a waterfall. The breakfast is abundant, fresh bread every morning, upon arrival we found a freshly baked cake on the table. Peace and beauty. It is convenient to drive to the surrounding attractions. The most memorable place on our trip to Portugal.
The staff were extremely helpful, and on site parking was available.Thank you to the reception staff on our arrival.
Our room was situated at the front of the hotel, very close to the main road, so we could here traffic noise.
The hotel is situated on the Douro River, with wonderful views from the rear of the hotel. We could imagine rooms on this side, would be much nicer, but at a premium.
The place owner was really helpful and friendly, we got advise about hiking app, also excellent story about wine making during homemade dinner. The place owner also advised us to go to their close neighbour winemaking tour with degustation, which also was great and one of our Portugal trip highlights. The room, where we stayed was extremely large.
The Quinta do Valdelágea was lovely. It had my essential requirements: a good shower with plenty of hot water and comfy beds. The breakfast was delicious and especially nice the last day when we could eat outside. Anabel was most helpful. This was probably our favorite place in our entire Portugal stay.
Lovely little hotel , quaint and charming , situated just 2 minutes walk from the Douro river and 15 minutes walk from the town centre .
Good breakfast with delicious made-to-order scramlbed eggs by the charming and cheerful hostess Ana . Had a lovely relaxing swim in the pool on a hot afternoon .
The hotel is located in a very well renovated historical building, (a great work shown by video in the common room) just next to public transportation (Régua Train Station and Bus Stop). The staff was very friendly, kind and attentive The breakfast is absolutely fantastic.
The apartment is very nice, large and well-equipped. It's in the centre of Regua that is a perfect place to start your trips from in the area. We've had the best sleep here, maybe it was the bike trip we were doing, but the bed was great
Good location in Peso da Regua, lovely comfy bed & all facilities provided good.
Owners very friendly & nothing too much trouble. Excellent breakfast, sitting on terrace overlooking the river.
The renovated house was beautifully done.
Fabulous views, delicious breakfasts and a delightful host make this a no-brainier if you want to explore the Douro. Generous public spaces and only three bedrooms makes this place feel like your own private villa!
Absolutelly unique atmosfere, common areas & furniture style. Very close to Douro attractions and nice restaurants in Peso de Regua. Very friendly and helpful host. Highly recommend plae to stay.
Furnishings, linens, maps and paintings on the walls. Garden and pool very nice, tho was January and raining. Proximity to Régua was good for our group of 9. Could walk to dinner and museum.
This is not a luxury hotel but does all the basics very well. Free onsite parking. Good bed, decent shower. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. Very reasonable price.
The hotel was beautifully renovated with touches of it’s pass incorporated. It was exceptionally clean and the staff were more than welcoming and accommodating.
